 Founded in 1946, the Oak Ridge Horse Show began as a community fundraiser to support the construction of the Oak Ridge Methodist Church. As the event grew, proceeds also helped fund the gymnasium at Oak Ridge Elementary School. Over the years, the show has evolved into a longstanding tradition of giving back, providing donations to numerous nonprofit organizations and awarding scholarships to deserving students throughout the community.

 The Oak Ridge Horse Show is proud to continue an 81-year tradition built on the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of sponsors, donors, and community supporters. For generations, local residents and businesses throughout the Northwest Guilford area have played a vital role in the success of this cherished community event. As we celebrate this longstanding tradition, we remain committed to preserving the values of community involvement, family entertainment, and charitable giving that have defined the Oak Ridge Horse Show for more than eight decades.

 ORHSA is excited to once again host a weekend full of equestrian competition and family-friendly entertainment. The event will feature an Open Horse Show with Western Pleasure, Ranch, and English classes, as well as a Draft Horse Pull, Mini-Draft Horse Pull, and additional attractions throughout the weekend. We are proud to partner with Double Creek Pro Rodeo Company, sanctioned by the Southern Rodeo Association, to bring an action-packed rodeo experience to our attendees. The horse show portion of the event will be managed by Equine Event Planning, LLC, a respected producer of premier open horse shows across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
